Family Symposium Series
Throughout the year, Navy Wounded Warrior – Safe Harbor hosts wounded warrior family symposiums in regions where the program has a presence (both staff and enrollees). The goal of these events is to hear directly from the families of Navy Wounded Warrior – Safe Harbor enrollees about their experiences – their ups and their downs – since learning of their loved one’s illness or injury. Additionally, the symposiums offer families a wonderful opportunity to connect with others who share their struggles.
At each event, the panelists share inspirational stories and discuss the medical and non-medical hurdles they have faced. Their feedback results in direct improvements to Navy Wounded Warrior – Safe Harbor’s policies and practices.
For dates and locations of future family symposiums, contact the Navy Wounded Warrior – Safe Harbor Family Programs and Charitable Resources coordinator via the call center at 855-NAVY WWP/855-628-9997 or via email at email@example.com.
