About Warrior Care Month
November is Warrior Care Month. It was established in 2008 “to increase awareness of programs and resources available to wounded, ill, and injured service members, their families, and those who care for them.” The Department of Defense was tasked to “continue to make it easier for our troops and their families to take advantage of all the assistance now available to them.”
Navy Wounded Warrior’s motto is Numquam Navigare Solus, Never to Sail Alone. The Navy lives its values of honor, courage and commitment when caring for wounded, ill and injured service members and their families and caregivers.
Register for the WNY 5K
Pre-registration is required for anyone without base access to Washington Navy Yard and highly suggested for those with it.
To speed your on-site race day check-in, we suggest printing and completing a copy of the Hold Harmless waiver (pdf).
