Sailors and Coast Guardsmen may self-refer to the program or be referred by family members, command leadership or medical providers.
The challenges that accompany a serious illness or injury can be confusing, frustrating and exhausting for a service member. Navy Wounded Warrior is here to help. The program allows service members to focus on their recovery, while its team of experts resolves non-medical problems and prepares them for transition back to active duty or civilian life.
Enrollment in Navy Wounded Warrior is voluntary. Service members may refer themselves to the program. Alternatively, a family member, the service member's command or a medical provider can make a referral. The Navy Wounded Warrior Referral Form can be downloaded here.
Enrollment in Navy Wounded Warrior does not end when a service member leaves a medical treatment facility. Navy Wounded Warrior provides a lifetime of support.
