About Road to the Warrior Games
Navy Wounded Warrior trains Team Navy through its adaptive athletics program. In the months leading to the annual Warrior Games, Sailors and Coast Guardsmen enrolled in Navy Wounded Warrior are encouraged to attend a series of introductory camps and ultimately try out for Team Navy during Trials.
The adaptive sports and recreation program promotes the mental and physical well-being of wounded, ill, and injured service members as part of a larger continuum of care that service members receive through Navy Wounded Warrior. For many, participation in adaptive athletics represents another milestone along their path to recovery, rehabilitation, and reintegration. It is an opportunity to find fellowship among other wounded warriors who face similar challenges.

Numquam Navigare Solus – Never to Sail Alone
As an official Department of the Navy program within Commander, Navy Installations Command (CNIC), Navy Wounded Warrior ensures Sailors and Coast Guardsmen never sail alone as they navigate a life-changing or career-altering diagnosis or condition. Our program serves as a central resource to bring together service members, their command leaders, medical teams and social-support services to offer peace of mind and concrete guidance for what comes next. Adaptive sports are just one part of the program that creates a strong foundation for continued service or a successful transition to civilian life.
