NAVY WOUNDED WARRIOR ANNOUNCES TEAM NAVY FOR 2022 Department of Defense WARRIOR GAMES

WASHINGTON NAVY YARD -- Navy Wounded Warrior is proud to announce Team Navy for the 2022 Department of Defense Warrior Games. This year, Team Navy is comprised of 40 athletes, including a combination of active duty and veteran Sailors and Coast Guardsmen. The team will compete during the 2022 DoD Warrior Games hosted at the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex at Walt Disney World Resort from August 19-28.

The Department of Defense Warrior Games is an annual event, first held in 2010, that celebrates the resiliency and dedication of wounded, ill and injured active duty and veteran U.S. military service members. This year, the Paralympic-style competitive event will feature 11 sports: archery, cycling, field, indoor rowing, precision air sports (shooting), powerlifting, track, sitting volleyball, swimming, wheelchair basketball and wheelchair rugby.
